Elegant Hotel - Kandy

Very nice view from the room, enjoyed massages and the outdoor dining area. WiFi was unreliable.

A charming small and quaint hotel, my first choice in Kandy. Overall clean accommodation, fantastic friendly and excellent staff from the reception ladies to the waiters. Varied and amazing breakfast with a lot of outstanding foods. Stunning and excellent location - short walk to the main sights, a mountain and Botanical gardens which are a must see.

Great views, lovely clean hotel, everything very modern and pleasant with good helpful staff.

Comfortable room, fine view, with good breakfast options that included a wonderful mix of local and international dishes. The convenience of being just 4 km from the nearest railway station for easy travel.

The hotel is a 30 minutes ride from Kandy city, but it is really worth the ride. The hotel itself has become a highlight of our trip in Kandy, besides The Temple of Tooth. They have a really nice garden, and you will be able to watch the stars at night from the spacious balcony. The manager and staff are very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend the Sri Lanka breakfast at Eleganthotel.

We had a fairly quiet room with a walk-in shower. Our hotel was in a stunning and good location on the surrounding mountain.

The staff were friendly, and the food at the hotel was fantastic! We also loved the beautiful garden space. Highly recommend trying the garlic curry and taking an adventure to Mirissa for whale watching while you're here.

We did have a slight issue with WiFi connectivity , a bit frustrating when we wanted to check maps or post photos.

Consider booking the spa treatments for a wonderfully relaxing experience after a long day of exploring. The setting is tranquil and rejuvenating.

The views from the top are amazing, especially watching the sunset over the mountains while being serenaded by bats flying overhead. Rooms are large, clean, and thoughtfully designed with great views. Not to mention the delicious Sri Lankan breakfast that gives you a taste of the local culinary scene.

Getting to the hotel is an adventure in itself, with some very steep roads that could use a warning-it's not for the faint of heart or novice drivers.

The serene atmosphere served as the perfect backdrop for unwinding, complemented by amazing vistas from the room's veranda. The culinary offerings highlighted local flavors, particularly a good garlic curry and homemade Majorcan products that showcased attention to guest preferences. Some meals, especially from the western menu, leaned towards unhealthy options with limited vegetarian choices. The remote location meant a longer commute to town, which might not be for everyone. Altogether, it's a tranquil retreat, albeit with a few areas needing improvement.

After exploring Kandy, we cherished the tranquil atmosphere away from the city. The cute drinks and towels upon arrival set a lovely tone. Don't miss the beautifully maintained pool surrounded by gardens, perfect for relaxation. The exquisite local cuisine left a lasting impression- lovely!
